Modern Life Is Degrading Male Fertility

You've cleaned up your diet. Run the tests. Cut back on the obvious stuff. And you're still waiting for a positive result.

Or maybe you haven't started trying yet. You just want to get this right from the beginning.

Either way, this shouldn't feel like rolling the dice.

Here's the reality.

Chronic stress, environmental toxins, poor sleep, and metabolic dysfunction are degrading sperm health in ways standard testing often misses. Over the past 50 years, average sperm counts have dropped by more than 50 percent, alongside declines in motility, morphology, and DNA integrity.

And it's not just about conception. As men age, sperm DNA fragmentation increases and epigenetic signaling shifts. These changes meaningfully influence miscarriage risk and the long-term health of a future child.

You don't just want a pregnancy. You want the healthiest possible start for your family.

That starts with your biology.

The good news:
sperm production is dynamic.

With the right approach, many men can make meaningful progress in sperm quality and overall reproductive health over three to six months.

Because sperm is continuously produced, your current health choices directly influence what you bring to conception.

“Men are in the enviable position of having the chance to reestablish a clean slate, given that sperm are continually being produced in a process that takes sixty to seventy days. So if men improve their lifestyle habits, they can reset their sperm production.”

The Mandrake Method

The S.P.E.R.M. Framework

Five Pillars. One Integrated Outcome.

A systems-based approach to male fertility, grounded in physiology and biology. Each pillar targets a distinct, research-backed driver of sperm quality and reproductive health.

The 5 Pillars of the S.P.E.R.M. Framework
S Sustenance
Build the nutritional foundation for sperm production. Focus on nutrient density, methylation nutrients, and metabolic stability.
P Purity
Reduce exposure to environmental toxins and endocrine disruptors that can affect hormone signaling and sperm development.
E Exercise
Apply movement in a way that supports fertility. Preserve mitochondrial function and hormonal balance.
R Rest
Use sleep and recovery to align circadian biology and support healthy testosterone function and long-term resilience.
M Mindset
Support healthy stress physiology and nervous system regulation. Build consistency, motivation, and connection throughout the journey.

In Their Words

Understanding your biology changes everything.

“After 18 months trying to conceive, the results pointed towards my sperm as the culprit, and this sent me into a downward spiral of feeling ‘less than’ as a man and as a partner. Since completing the course, I feel happier, stronger and more energized than I have in years. I do not consider my journey complete, but the Mandrake Method has endowed me with the knowledge, tools and resources to ensure I continue to follow a path leading me to greater well-being.”

Matt M.

“Going through the Mandrake Method pushed us to make real lifestyle changes before conception. It wasn’t always easy, but I’m so glad we committed to our health before starting a family. The habits became second nature, and we used everything we’d learned again for round two. Josh explained the science behind every change, which made it easier to stay consistent. We’re now proud parents of two healthy children, and I genuinely believe the work we put in made a big difference.”

“Josh is one of the most knowledgeable people I know and his approach felt completely tailored to both our individual needs and our collective needs as a couple. He would explain concepts, review studies, and give us hard data to help us truly understand how the changes we were making would impact fertility and our child’s health. Working with Josh helped me feel more prepared for the journey of parenting, and excited about stepping into healthier versions of ourselves.”

Josh Paigen

I work at the intersection of biology, behavior, and responsibility.

My role is to help men understand which inputs matter most, so they can act with precision during a narrow biological window with real stakes.

My work draws on reproductive physiology, epigenetics, and behavior change, but the focus is always practical. I reduce complexity, prioritize leverage points, and design changes that can be sustained in real life.

I work one-on-one because the stakes are personal and the variables matter.
